I post some of what I believe are my best photographs.
When I was young - more money, more ice-cream
As a young kid I could not seem to remember whether two nickels and a dime or two dimes and a nickel made up a quarter… Thus was the cause of many sad instances, for the ice-cream truck man was not in the business of charity.
Conversation with Riverside PD a few nights ago.
Setting: pulled over on the side of the road.
Officer: Hands on the steering wheel! Where you headed in such hurry?
Officer: Let me see your license, registration and proof of insurance. (Pause) what makes you think its ok to tailgate a police officer?
Ray: Actually, I feel you cut in front of me
Officer: I don’t care what you feel! I saw you coming far off, by the time I made the turn you were right behind me. You must have been coming real fast.
I don’t know what planet your coming from, but here, you don’t tailgate police officers! Do you understand?!
Ray: Yes sir, I understand Sir
Do you realize your vehicle has enough code violations to the point that I can tow it away right now?!
(officer walks away to his unit)
(officer returns moments later)
Officer: You don’t need a speeding ticket do you?
Ray: No Sir.
Officer: There are way too many insane drivers already, you don’t need to be one of them. I’m not going to give you a citation, and just so you know, your exhaust pipe is highly illegal.
Ray: Thank you Sir!
(Officer gives me back my documents and goes away)
3 consecutive sleepless nights and Ive produced this short orchestral original music score. Its my first attempt to compose a full orchestration, still not sure if Ive succeeded. Often times after hearing the same piece of music over and over for hours at end during production, it seems I may lose sense of whether I like a piece of music because its good, or, I mistakenly perceive it as good because of the amount of time and effort that has gone into it.
